In England, royal guards aren’t allowed to speak to visitors, but they made an exception for a blind child. When the boy gave a little foot salute, the guard responded by firmly stomping his own foot in return.

You know that thing when you’re watching something and you just start smiling unconsciously?

This must be the most popular royal guard ever. I swear I’ve seen him in at least 5 of these videos

    3. I don’t know man…I know that fellow was just doing his job and there’s a list of rules he needs to follow. But it’s 2026 and I really think the royal family should chill out and allow a guard – that has literally no functional role other than being a tourist attraction – to shake a little boy’s hand or to give him a hug…

Call me whatever, but why in the world was the blind kid asking for a his dad to take a picture?? I’m so confused.

    5. These are the sorts of things that give me hope.  This man put humanity, decency and empathy above the rules.  He knows he may get in trouble if someone decided to be an ass about it, but he did it anyway, and made this kids, and probably his whole families, day.

This gives me hope because lately weve been seeing some pretty awful “rules” around the world lately.  I just hope more people are able to make similar choices when the chips are down.  As long as that continues to happen, we just might be alright in the long run.
